What we can say here? The first and the most popular wallet ever. My first touch to Bitcoin started with Bitcoin Core. It was long time ago, interface is almost the same but this is not important if you know what you are doing with your BTC addresses and funds. Hundreds of commands can be executed from the prompt of the wallet but you should have some extra skills and knowledge. I'm using it for import of clold and paper wallets. Downloading the blockchain will take time- till present day it can take 3-4 days but after that you will have fully operational bitcoin full node. Don't get tricked by the old looking interface, security and functionality are the important aspects here.
